IJA participated Boise 150th Sesqui-Party with Global Lounge. We enjoyed variety of performance from all over the world including Japanese koto and Kamishibai (Japanese picture story telling). We also celebrated Tanabata star festival by hanging our wishes to the bamboo tree. Idaho Statesman Photos

Idaho Japanese Association’s Annual New Year’s Party was January 5th. Everyone enjoyed traditional Japanese omochi making.
Idaho Japanese Association brought tea ceremony experience to BAM’s Family Story Night. It was a success with approximately 60 visitors to the Museum. Through stories, calligraphy and tea ceremony demonstrations, families were able to interact with the exhibitions Eastern Traditions / Western Expressions and White Elephants.
