Idaho Japanese Association brought tea ceremony experience to BAM’s Family Story Night. It was a success with approximately 60 visitors to the Museum. Through stories, calligraphy and tea ceremony demonstrations, families were able to interact with the exhibitions Eastern Traditions / Western Expressions and White Elephants.

IJA has participated in Densho Garden Ribbon Tying Ceremony on September 15th during the Indian Creek Celebration in Caldwell. Through a large donation by the JACL and many other generous donations, there are sufficient funds to landscape a majority of the Garden with the Donor Wall and other improvements to follow.
Idaho Japanese association hosted annual BBQ at veterans park on August 25th. Although we have bad smoke, many family enjoyed this annual event.
5th Annual Idaho Japan Day 2012, a cultural event was held on Friday, May 18th, 2012.
