Idaho Japanese Association held our annual picnic on Sunday, June 2nd, at Tully Park in Meridian, Idaho. It was a beautiful, sunny day. Japanese and Idahoans who love Japan visited each other as we enjoyed our potluck food.
Besides the potluck, there were homemade melon bread, Mitarashi dango and matcha cookies for sale, along with IJA t-shirts that we designed ourselves! We also demonstrated how to deep fry Japanese curry bread, which was also available for purchase.
We look forward seeing everyone again at Japan Day on September 2nd at the Basque Block on Grove Street.
