Piano Lovers Duo

Piano Lovers Duo is a piano duo representing the Japanese piano players’ group “Piano Lovers.” Formed in 2010 by Japanese music lovers living in the Treasure Valley, “Piano Lovers” has been holding potluck-style parties where the members perform in an at-home atmosphere, gaining experience performing in front of an audience. Thanks to this, some members have had the opportunity to perform in larger venues in recent years.

Miki Kurosawa and Mari Vargas Villazon started participating in “Piano Lovers” gatherings in 2018 and formed their piano duo shortly after meeting each other. Since their first performance in October 2018, they have performed at various events. They continue to work to become better performers under the guidance of Professor Del Parkinson of Boise State University and Professor Emeritus Jay Mauchly of the University of Idaho.
