Idaho Japanese Association brought tea ceremony experience to BAM’s Family Story Night. It was a success with approximately 60 visitors to the Museum. Through stories, calligraphy and tea ceremony demonstrations, families were able to interact with the exhibitions Eastern Traditions / Western Expressions and White Elephants.

IJA has participated in Densho Garden Ribbon Tying Ceremony on September 15th during the Indian Creek Celebration in Caldwell. IJA has participated in Flashlight Vigil held on Sunday March 11 2012 to honor nearly 20,000 individuals who lost their lives during or immediately after the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami of 2011.
IJA has participated in Ohio University’s Japanese exchange students “I Love You Japan” project. This project is to show our support to all the people recovering from 2011 March Earthquake in Japan.
