Koto Yuko Parrish

Yuko Parrish was born in Kochi-shi, Kochi-ken, Japan, and began taking Koto lessons in Junior High school, continuing for about four years.

When she was 27 when I married and moved to the United States. She lived in Utah until 2001, when she moved to Idaho.

She began teaching the Koto to her children and grandchildren in the hope that they will learn to love and appreciate their heritage and she wants to share it with others. The Koto is just one of the many beautiful aspects of Japanese culture that she wants her family to pass on to future generations.
